Patsy Ann Joyner Carpenter, age 77, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of Dale Carpenter, departed this life Friday evening, June 14, 2024 at Adamsville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Adamsville, Tennessee.
Patsy was born September 15, 1946 in Collierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Hubert Washington Joyner and Mable Eugenia Smith Joyner. She graduated from Collierville High School and was employed as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau in Collierville for 20 years before her retirement. Patsy was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church near Somerville who loved her family very much and enjoyed horseback riding, deer hunting and playing the piano.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband, Dale Carpenter; her sister, Charlotte Joyner (Dan Bowser); and her brother, Tommy Joyner (Elisa). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Aubrey Edward Dodson, Jr.; her sister, Clara Mae Patrick; and three brothers, Don Joyner, Sammy Joyner and Luster Joyner.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carpenter were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Joe Turner, pastor of Stark Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Zach Joyner, Dustin Joyner, Aaron Gonya and Rick Gonya.
