Patsy Dianne Stines Gann, resident of Memphis, former resident of the Warren Community and wife of the late James R. Gann died Friday, September 23, 2011 at her residence. She was 56 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Gann were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 29th
at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Jay Smith of Oakcrest Baptist Church in Memphis, officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Gann was born August 15, 1955 in the Somerville Community. She was the daughter of Betty Watson Stines and the late Ira V. Stines. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and had been a resident of Shelby and Fayette Counties for much of her life. Mrs. Gann was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was the wife of James Richard Gann, Fayette County Acoustical Tile Installer, who preceded her in death February 20, 2010. Mrs. Gann had a lifelong love of music and was devoted to her family. Shopping and being with family and friends were favorite pastimes.
Mrs. Gann is survived by her son, James Gann of the Warren Community and her mother, Betty Watson Stines of Memphis.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Robert Smith, Steve Jenkins, Leon Watkins, John Markham and Jackie Kee.
