Patty Sue Thompson Webb, age 80, resident of Oakland and wife of Marshall Clay Webb, departed this life Thursday evening, August 6, 2015 at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville.
Mrs. Webb was born December 3, 1934 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Herman Thompson and Clemence Annette Brown Thompson. She was a graduate of Southside High School in Memphis Class of 1952 and was a homemaker throughout her life. She was married July 14, 1951 to Marshall Clay Webb, who survives. Mrs. Webb had a special love for her church, Oakland First Baptist Church, and was an avid reader who enjoyed preparing food and special times with her family. She was a member of the Oakland Homemakers Club.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Webb leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tammy Barnett (David) of Oakland; two sons, Mike Webb (Mary) of Bartlett, Tommy Webb (Kathy) of Oakland; her sister, Mildred McDonald of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, Richard Thompson (Ellen) of Hot Springs, AR, Jerry Thompson (Linda) of Southaven, MS; seven grandchildren, Jason Webb, Michael Webb, Kayli Webb, Quentin Webb, Bobby Barnett, Heather Greenland, Clay Barnett; and five great grandchildren, Ali Barnett, Connor Jase Greenland, Drew Greenland, Giuliana Greenland and Adalynn Webb.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Webb, Quentin Webb, Clay Barnett, Bobby Barnett, Wes Greenland and Danny Ray Hill.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, 1520 W. Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN 38017.
