Paul Friedrich Filsinger

Paul Friedrich Filsinger, age 22, resident of the Whiteville Community and employee of Corrections Corporation of America in Whiteville departed this life Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013 at the Bolivar General Hospital as a result of an automobile accident.

Services for Paul will be at 11 Saturday morning at the Somerville First Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Lovelace and Bro. Matthew Watkins officiating. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 Friday evening at the Somerville First Baptist Church. Interment will be at 2 Saturday afternoon in the Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange Road.  Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Paul was born September 17, 1990 in Memphis, the son of the former Andrea Hampton and the late Kurt Friedrich Filsinger. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a graduate of Fayette Ware High School in Somerville. He was a Baptist in faith and had been employed as a prison officer for Corrections Corporation of America in Whiteville at the time of his death.

Paul lived in the Whiteville Community for the past 14 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as an extremely loyal person to his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his wife, Tiffany Filsinger of Oakland; his daughter, Alora Filsinger of Oakland; his son, Micah Filsinger of Oakland; his mother and stepfather, Andrea and Tim Staggs of Whiteville; three sisters, Sara Staggs of Whiteville, Kari Staggs of Whiteville, Autumn Staggs of Whiteville; three brothers, Noah Staggs of Whiteville, Andrew Staggs of Whiteville, John Staggs of Whiteville; his grandparents, Manfred and Rose Filsinger of Memphis; and his great grandmother, Cazilia Christ of Germany.

Casketbearers will be family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to Grace Pointe Church, P.O. Box 253, Whiteville, TN 38075.
