Paul Lester Jones, resident of the Oak Hill Downs Community near Moscow, Regional Operations Manager of Sundusky Company in Millington and husband of Suzanne Jones died Wednesday morning November 24, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis where he had been a patient for nineteen days. He was 60 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Jones were conducted at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Wes Richardson of Collierville and Mr. Don Billings of Randolph, Tennessee, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
A native of Memphis, Mr. Jones was born on September 22, 1950, the son of Roy A. Jones and Nathalie Lester Jones. Mr. Jones was educated in the Shelby County Public School System and was married December 14, 1974 the former Suzanne Barber, a teacher in the Memphis City School System, who survives.
Mr. Jones was a former resident of Whitehaven and Germantown before moving to Fayette County. He was employed by the Holiday Inn Corporation in earlier years and was a member of the Germantown Baptist Church. Mr. Jones will be remembered as a person who enjoyed nature, hunting and horses.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Jones is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Williams (Forrest) of Pass Christian, Mississippi, his son, Paul Lester Jones, Jr. (Amanda) of Collierville, his mother, Nathalie Jones of Hickory Flat, Mississippi, and his grandchildren, Abby Jones, Logan Jones, Walker Williams and Witt Williams.
