Paula Burnett Miller, resident of Lakeland with family members in Fayette County died Saturday evening, October 1, 2011 at her home in Lakeland. She was 52 years of age and died following an illness of several months.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Miller were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 6th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Doug Bell of the Crosspointe Church in Horn Lake, MS, officiating. Special remarks were given by family members and friends and interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — West Chapel of Oakland.
Mrs. Miller was born May 27, 1959 in Memphis to Paul Richard Burnett and Betty Ann Kile Burnett. She was educated in the Shelby County Public School System and continued her education as a massage therapist licensed by the State of Tennessee. Mrs. Miller operated the Chain of Health Massage in Lakeland before her illness. She was a member of the Hope Presbyterian Church and a lifelong resident of the Memphis area.
Her interests included nature, gardening, flowers and the feeding of birds at her home. Music and concerts were favorite pastimes and she had a special love for her pet canine, “Elizabeth Taylor”. Mrs. Miller was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her pleasant personality and love of life. She was married February 18, 2011 to Mark Edward Miller, AT&T Facility Technician, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Jessica Ware of Potts Camp, MS, Dustin Ring of Little Rock, AR, Mark Miller, Jr. of Bartlett, Erica Miller of Bartlett, Jeremy Miller of Bartlett, her parents, Paul R. and Betty Ann Burnett of Oakland, her sister, Christy B. Aguanno of Hickory Withe Community, her brother, Richard P. Burnett of Cordova and two grandchildren.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Dustin Ring, Danny Ring, Mike Harper, Edwin Aguanno, Richard Burnett and William Paul Burnett.
