Pauline Thompson Conner, age 90, resident of Somerville and wife of the late Carroll Conner, died on Saturday, April 12th at the National Healthcare Center in Somerville.
Mrs. Conner was born on May 2, 1934 to the late John Thompson and Ora Lee Perrigo Thompson. She attended Parks Elementary School in her younger years and married Carrol Conner on August 6, 1965. Mrs. Conner was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.
Mrs. Conner is survived by her six daughters, Joyce Freeman of Somerville, TN, Janie German (Melvin) of Somerville, TN, Jean Johnson of Ohio, Tracy Caldwell (John) of Mississippi, Barbara Conner of Arkansas and Starla Pepper (Randy) of Whiteville, TN; one son, Hugh Conner (Scherry) of Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Martha Ann Cannon (Toby), both of Somerville, TN; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Rogers and David Conner.
A visitation for Mrs. Conner will be from 3 P.M. to 4 P.M. Tuesday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 4 P.M. Tuesday, April 15 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Mickey Cossar, minister at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the District 15 Community.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin German, Drew Pepper, Justin Thomas Koenig, Daniel Watson, Tommy Markle and Christopher Bishop.
The family requests memorials be directed to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 9590 Jernigan Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.
