Peggy Louise Thompson Cullins, age 70, resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, native of the Somerville Community and wife of the late Odis Haryl Cullins, departed this life Monday afternoon, December 1, 2014 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Cullins were conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, December 5th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Carl Doyle of Oakland officiating. Personal remarks were given by Warren Adams. Interment followed at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the District 15 Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Cullins was born July 22, 1944 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee Thompson and Birdie Marie Kee Thompson. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was married May 1, 1983 to Odis Haryl Cullins. Mr. Cullins preceded her in death on August 28, 2013.
Mr. and Mrs. Cullins were residents of Pine Bluff, Arkansas for over 30 years and of the Church of Christ faith. She was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and preparing food and going to White River, Arkansas with her husband.
Mrs. Cullins is survived by her son, Dennis Wayne Rose, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas; her sister, Bobbie Graham (Larry) of Somerville; four brothers, James Thompson (Gail) of Somerville, Elmer Thompson (Pat) of Somerville, Tommy Thompson of Somerville, Timmy Thompson (Girlene) of Moscow; five grandchildren, Sandy Baughman, Candy Yarbrough, Tish Harvey, Dennis Wayne Rose, Jr., Terry Rose; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Grooms, Diane Argo; three brothers, James Lester Thompson, Raferd Thompson, John Thompson; her grandson, Jeffery Rose; and her sister-in-law, Dell Thompson.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Brad Thompson, Billy Davidson, Jonah Thompson, Charles Thompson, Cory Thompson and Matt Davidson.
Honorary casketbearers were Robert Ray, Larry Graham, Gary Whitemore.
