Peggy Jean (Thomas) Stines

Peggy Jean Thomas Stines, age 75, resident of Rio Rico, Arizona, former resident of Oakland and wife of the late John T. Stines, departed this life Saturday morning, December 12, 2015 at the Santa Rita Care Home in Green Valley, Arizona.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Stines will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community. A visitation for Mrs. Stines will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Stines was born August 3, 1940 in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She received her eduction in the DeSoto County Public School System and was the wife of John Thomas Stines for over 50 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God and enjoyed going to yard sales. Mrs. Stines was a former resident of Oakland before moving to Arizona to be near her son.

Mrs. Stines is survived by her son, William Stines (Jennifer) of Rio Rico, Arizona; four sisters, Novy Ann Thomas of Olive Branch, MS, Geneva Johnson of Olive Branch, MS, Willa Mae Ross of Corinth, MS, Neder Thomas of Olive Branch, MS; and two grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Stines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Stines who died November 16, 2008 and her father, Lawrence Thomas.
