Phil Williams

Philip George "Phil" Williams, age 74, resident of the Piperton Community and husband of Nelda Williams, departed this life Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville.

Memorial Services with Military Honors for Mr. Williams were conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, March 9th at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Collierville. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Williams was born December 5, 1940 in New York City, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Resek Williams and Eileen Williams. He served his country in the United States Navy and was married in July of 1991 to the former Nelda Collins, who survives. Mr. Williams was a resident of the Piperton Community and was of the Episcopal faith. He enjoyed traveling and reading.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Williams of Sacramento, CA, Tammy McKinnon (Brian) of Arlington, TN; three sons, Matthew Williams, Sean Williams, Sam Briggs (Whitney) of Arlington, TN; his sister, Pam Pease (Jim) of Greenwood Lake, NY; and seven grandchildren.
