Philip Lee Moore, Sr.

Philip Lee Moore, Sr., age 85, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of Irene Roberts Moore, departed this life Saturday morning, January 25, 2025 at his home.

Philip was born December 3, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Harold Moore and Leola Lokey Moore. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was employed at Bellsouth/AT&T for 37 years as a cable splice technician before his retirement. He was married August 28, 1998 to Irene Roberts Moore. Bowling was his passion and he was a member of three bowling leagues.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 26 years, Irene Roberts Moore; his son, Philip Lee Moore, Jr. (Ronnie); his stepdaughter, Heather Sorrell (Jason); his stepson, Allyn King; two grandchildren, Sean Moore and Dalton Moore; and six step-grandchildren, Caroline Sorrell, Caleb Sorrell, Chloe Sorrell, Cade Sorrell, Anna King and Lauren King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Jeffrey Moore and John David Moore; two sisters, Linda Field and Carolyn Sowell; and two brothers, Jimmy Moore and Richard Moore.
