Phylis Yvonne (Burnette) Ragland
August 29, 1952 — September 5, 2011
PHYLIS YVONNE BURNETTE RAGLAND, resident of the Arlington Community, former resident of Phoenix, AZ, and telephone researcher for Braun Research Company died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her home. She was 59 years of age and died following an extended illness.
A native of Owensboro, KY, Mrs. Ragland was born August 29, 1952. Mrs. Ragland was educated in the Owensboro, KY Public School System and Catholic School in Kentucky. She married July 4, 2002 to Edward Lee Ragland, parts department employee at Swift Transportation for 16 years.
Known for her love of life and animals, Mrs. Ragland will be remembered for enjoying gardening, fishing, camping and NASCAR.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ragland is survived by her mother, Leotha Hicks of LaFayette, GA, two daughters, Trisha Burnette of Chattanooga, TN and Catherine Burnette, her sister, Willamina, her brother, James Whaley and her granddaughter, Breeann Whaley of Chattanooga, TN. She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Whaley.
