Ralph Myers

Ralph Myers, age 94, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and husband of Sandra Overton Myers, departed this life Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Ralph was born September 5, 1929 in Somerville. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Franklin Myers, Sr. and Lorena Leath Myers. He received his education in the Fayette County School System and was a farmer for much of his life. Ralph was married June 5, 1993 to Sandra Overton Myers and was a member of Somerville Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming and quail, squirrel and deer hunting.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Sandra Overton Myers of Somerville, TN; three stepsons, Jeffrey Harold Cagle (Wendy) of Memphis, TN, Phillip Overton Cagle (Laura) of Piperton, TN and Todd Lee Cagle of Rossville, TN; his sister, Bertha Thomas of the KoKo Community, TN; six grandchildren, Taylor Toldi, Will Cagle, Margaret Cagle, Patrick Cagle, Jack Cagle and Madelyn Cagle; and one great-grandchild, Teagen Toldi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, David Myers, Bill Myers, Donnie Myers and Bobby Myers.

Funeral Services for Mr. Myers were held at 1 P.M. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Somerville Methodist Church. The officiating ministers were Rev. Don VanVoorhis and Rev. Walter German. Interment followed in Somerville City Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Matt Rhea, Doug Howell, Don Myers, David Myers, Patrick Cagle and Brennan Toldi.
