Randall "Randy" Hughes

Randall Eugene “Randy” Hughes, age 54, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, December 12, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Hughes were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Ken Burnette, pastor of Parks Chapel United Methodist Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Hughes was born April 22, 1963 in Troy, Ohio. He moved with his family at an early age to Horn Lake, Mississippi and was a graduate of Horn Lake High School. He was employed as a machinist for many years and was a resident of Fayette County since 1986. Mr. Hughes was a member of Parks Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, barbecuing and working on small engines.

Mr. Hughes is survived by his father, Jack Hughes (Gail) of Eads, TN; his sister, Connie Louise Gibson (Daryl) of Somerville, TN; his fiancée, Rosemary Miller of Somerville, TN; two grandsons, Hayden Lee Miller, Nicholas Lane Gatlin; his niece, Christina Michelle Gibson-Yager; his nephew, Jesse Dillon Gibson; two great-nephews, Wade, Alex and two great-nieces, Gracelyn and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Louise Cruea Hughes and his sister, Cassie Jean Hughes.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Ben Dennie, Tommy Doyle, Brian Ferge, Timmy Bishop, Danny Bishop and Robert Steward. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Davis and Larry Foster.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Parks Chapel United Methodist Church, 7855 Jernigan Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.
