Richard "Dick" Collins, Jr.

Richard Clinton “Dick” Collins, Jr., age 71, resident of Cordova and husband of Carla Poole Collins, departed this life Tuesday morning, May 16, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Collins were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Hope Church in Cordova. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Collins was born February 21, 1946 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School Class of 1964 and was married February 10, 1990 to the former Carla Poole. He was the owner and landscaper at East Memphis Lawn & Landscape, Incorporated and was a member and elder at Hope Church. Mr. Collins enjoyed trap shooting, traveling and will be remembered for his storytelling.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carla Poole Collins of Cordova, TN; two daughters, Cristi Bramlett Muston (Josh) of Oakland, TN, Amy Collins Hefner (Robert) of Millington, TN; two sons, Michael Shane Collins (Regina) of Nashville, TN, Ryan Evan Bramlett (Lindsey) of Oakland, TN; his sister-in-law, Anne Collins of Charlotte, NC; and six grandchildren, Nick Collins, Mackenzie Collins, Mary Kate Collins, Eyan Muston, Cami Grace Bramlett and Spencer Muston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Clinton Collins, Sr. and Mary Katherine Dawson Collins and his brother, Robert Collins.
