Rick Phillips

Richard Lee “Rick” Phillips, Memphis resident with family members in the Arlington-Hickory Withe areas and retired Northwest Airlines employee died Monday evening, January 9, 2012 at his residence. He was 64 years of age and died following an illness of several years.
A Private Family Graveside Service will take place in the Phillips Family Cemetery in Seco, Kentucky. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Phillips was born November 20, 1947 in Rock House, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Phillips and Sarah Taylor Phillips. He received his education in the Letcher County, Kentucky Public School System and is the husband of Donna Kennamore Phillips, a native of Middleton, TN, who survives.
Mr. Phillips was employed in the airline industry for over 30 years before his retirement in 2001. He was of the Baptist faith and a family-oriented person who enjoyed fishing, reading and special times with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Phillips area relatives include his stepdaughter, Kim Eckbloom of Arlington. Mr. Phillips is also survived by three daughters; one son; four sisters; three brothers and three grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
