Richard Earl “Ricky” Arnett, II, age 59, resident of Arlington, Tennessee, departed this life Friday afternoon, June 23, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Arnett were conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Thomas Foy, pastor of the Kirk Baptist Church in Collierville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Arnett was born June 18, 1958 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He moved with his family at an early age to Tennessee and was a graduate of Douglas High School in Memphis where he was active with the Chess Team. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed playing Nintendo, handheld devices and games, watching wrestling and Survivor and fishing.
Mr. Arnett is survived by his father, Richard Arnett of Millington, TN; his mother, Doris Shelton (Carol J. Shelton) of Arlington, TN; two sisters, Rebecca Bagwell (Joe Bagwell) of Maynard, AR, Wanda Coopwood (David Coopwood) of Memphis, TN; and two brothers, Daniel Arnett of Memphis, TN and Joseph Arnett (Charlene Arnett) of Memphis, TN.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
