Ricky Lewis Vaughn

RICKEY LEWIS VAUGHN, a resident of Dyersburg, TN and former resident of Fayette County, died at 3 A.M. Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. He was 49 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Vaughn were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Loyd Shelton of Rossville, officiating. Interment was in the Friendship Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Vaughn was born March 9, 1959, in Moscow, Tennessee, the son of Tommy Vaughn and Vivian Key Vaughn. He was educated in the public school system of Fayette County and moved to the Dyersburg area thirty years ago. He was employed as a mechanic for Vaughn Transmissions in Dyersburg and enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. Mr. Vaughn will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his daughter, Casey Nicole Simpson of Dyersburg, his son, Randal Lewis Vaughn of Dyersburg; his parents, Tommy and Vivian Key Vaughn of Dyersburg; his brother, Rocky Thomas Vaughn of Dyersburg and one granddaughter, Makayla Simpson.
Active casketbearers were Scottie Simpson, Michael McCaslin, Eddie Neisler, Russell Baker, Farron Kee and Ernie Reasons.
Honorary casketbearers were Tim Young, Victor Hopper and Joseph Smith.
