Rita (Holden) Goforth

Rita Holden Goforth, age 63, resident of Oakland and florist for Kroger in Memphis, departed this life Monday morning, May 25, 2015 at her residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Goforth were conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 28th at the Raleigh United Methodist Church in Memphis. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Goforth was born March 28, 1952 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry Jack Holden and Nell Vandergrift Holden. She was a graduate of Frayser High School and attended Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis. She was of the Baptist faith and was employed with the Kroger Grocery Store off Kirby-Whitten in Memphis as a florist for a number of years. She enjoyed crafts, flowers and rescuing pets.
Mrs. Goforth is survived by her son Jason Goforth (Brandi) of St Peters, Missouri; two sisters, Joyce Wiggins of Memphis, Pat Prater of Munford; and her granddaughter, Mikayla Goforth.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
