Robert Quincy Trout

Robert Quincy “Bob” Trout, resident of the Somerville Community, retired FedEx Pilot and husband of Sandra Trout died Wednesday morning, December 1, 2010, at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett where he had been a patient for three days. He was 64 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Trout were conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, December 3 rd at the Somerville First Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen White officiating. Personal Remarks were given by Mr. Trout’s son, Scott Trout. Interment was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas.  Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Trout was born on November 6, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas to the late Arlest Roy Trout and the late Rosa Lee Bolls Trout. He was educated in the Hempstead County Public School System and he became a pilot at the age of sixteen. Mr. Trout was a former resident of Memphis and St. Petersburg, Florida before moving to Fayette County sixteen years ago. He served as a pilot for the FedEx Corporation for twenty-seven years before his retirement. Mr. Trout also served as an inspector for nine years with the Federal Aviation Authority and served as an Air Traffic Controller for two years. He also served as a Flight Instructor at Embry Riddle University in Dayton Beach, Florida in earlier years.
Mr. Trout was an active member of the Somerville First Baptist Church and he will be remembered as an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, scuba diving and special times with his grandchildren.
He was married September 26, 1964 to the former Sandra Lynn Black, who survives.   In addition to his wife, Mr. Trout leaves his daughter, Michele Trout Bass (David) of Oakland, his son, Scott Trout (Christine) of Oakland, His sister, Cynthia Palmer (Bruce) of Idabel, OK, his brother, Kenneth Trout of Coppell, TX and five grandchildren, Adam Bass, Nathan Trout, Katherine Trout, Elizabeth Bass and Luke Trout.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Somerville First Baptist Church, 12685 S. Main Street, Somerville, TN 38068.
