Robert Wendell Hampton

Robert Wendell Hampton, 53, passed away at his home in Memphis, Tennessee on March 24, 2025. Jesus received him with open arms. Robert was born November 22, 1971, in Winchester, Kentucky of Earl W. Hampton of Paintsville, Kentucky and mother, Pama Penix Walters Hampton of Bradenton, Florida.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Holbrook Hampton and his grandfather, Richard Hampton as well as aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents, Earl and Pama Hampton, as well as his stepmother, Judith Batson Hampton. Robert is survived by his four sons, Colton Gage Brown (Marissa) of Jackson, TN Chase Hampton of Collierville, TN; Christopher Hampton (unknown whereabouts) and Jax Brosden Hampton of Hernando, MS; his brother, Jeffery Wade Hampton of Hager Hill, KY; and sister, Jennifer Hampton; and two nieces, Aysia Van Natta and Aubrey Faith (Bree) of Paintsville. Robert has three aunts that survive, Donetta Hamner and Dottie Howard of Salyersville, KY and Debbie Lawson of Berea, KY. Robert has a host of cousins throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Robert was a Christian and had a very personal relationship with our Savior. He was very intelligent and loved history to include ancient Egyptian pyramids, as well as Gods creation. Robert was an avid UK Basketball fan. He played on both the JCHS baseball and wrestling teams and was also the class clown. He also liked to play golf once in a while. Robert graduated from Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, KY in 1990. He loved his career as a financial manager in the car dealership business for 30+ years.

Robert will be dearly missed and loved by his parents, brother, sister, sons and all his relatives, friends and colleagues.
