Robert Morris “Bobby” McKelvy, Jr., age 63, resident of Atoka, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, June 14, 2019 in Oakland, Tennessee.
A memorial service for Mr. McKelvy will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Bobby was born October 5, 1955 in Covington, Tennessee, the son of Beulah Bailey Harwood Cooper and the late Robert Morris McKelvy, Sr. He was a graduate of Trenton Peabody High School in Gibson County, Tennessee and was a former resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he was a water plant operator for the city. Bobby served in the United States Navy for 14 years and was a resident of Atoka, Tennessee since 2014. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mr. McKelvy is survived by two daughters, Kristin McKelvy Baitsholts of Port St. Lucie, FL, Karen Oxendine of Orlando, FL; his son, Brian McKelvy of Port St. Lucie, FL; his mother, Bailey Cooper of Milan, TN; two sisters, Kathleen Duff of Atoka, TN, Beth Cooper of Fairview, TN; his brother, James Harwood of Winter Garden, FL; three grandchildren, Gavin Harvath, Kenzie Oxendine, Kylah Oxendine; and a special friend, Donita Williams of Oakland, TN.
