Robin Duane Lansdell, age 59, resident of the Williston Community and husband of Natelee Lunsford Lansdell, departed this life Wednesday evening, July 13, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Lansdell were conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Lansdell was born July 4, 1957 in Somerville. He received his education at Fayette Academy and was married June 19, 1998 to the former Natelee Lunsford. He worked as a farmer and truck driver for the majority of his life and was a member of the Macon United Methodist Church. Mr. Lansdell was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, hunting, working on his farm and special times with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Lansdell is survived by his wife of 18 years, Natelee Lunsford Lansdell of Williston; his children, Chris Lansdell and his wife, Karen, of Somerville, Nicki Proctor and her husband, David, of Williston, Daniel Lansdell and his wife, Kim, of Williston; his step-daughter, Jennifer Bishop of Whiteville; his step-son, Bobby Ferge and his wife, Nikki, of Laconia; two sisters, Jo Ann Robertson and her husband, Al, of Williston, Beverly Culver and her husband, Garner, of Williston; nine grandchildren, Brady Lansdell, Eli Lansdell, Allie Proctor, Marshall Proctor, Jacie Bishop, Jared Bishop, Jacob Doyle, Hayden Ferge, Hunter Ferge; and his great-granddaughter, Tawni Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Augusta Lansdell and Jewell Viola Ward Lansdell and his brother, Charles Ward Lansdell.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Hardy Flanagan, Wiley Flanagan, Curtis Cannon, Mark Doyle, Rodney Tatum and Gary Henley.
