Ronald Braswell

August 3, 1957 — March 19, 2008

RONALD BRASWELL, a resident of the Somerville Community and husband of Margaret Braswell, died at 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at his residence on Meadowlane. He was 50 years of age and died following an extended illness of several years.
Funeral services for Mr. Braswell were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, March 21st at the Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Somerville with Rev. John Ed Watkins, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Braswell was born August 3, 1957, in Indianola, Mississippi, the son of the late Jasper Braswell and the late Victoria Posey Braswell. He moved at an early age with his parents to California and was educated in the California public school system.
Mr. Braswell was a former resident of Memphis and North Carolina before moving to Somerville. Mr. Braswell was employed as a woodworker as long as health permitted and continued to enjoy woodworking activities throughout his life. One of his greatest joys was membership in the Morris Chapel Baptist Church where he participated in numerous church activities. He had a lifelong love of eagles and enjoyed his eagle collection. For his compassion, his engaging smile, his friendship and talent, he will be truly missed.
Mr. Braswell is survived by his wife, Margaret Applegate Braswell; his son, John Maddox and wife Susan of Collierville and his sister, Patricia Penny of Durham, NC.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were family members and friends.
