Ron Brewer
1940—2010
RONALD STEPHEN “RON” BREWER, resident of Collierville, U. S. Veteran, former resident of the Moscow Community and husband of Patricia Ann Britt Brewer died Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2010 at his residence. He was 70 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Brewer were conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, October 22

at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Will Barnes, retired minister of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Brewer was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi on June 13, 1940 the son of the late Oscar Stephen Brewer and the late Edna Mai Kirby Brewer. He was educated in the Shelby County Public School System and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. Mr. Brewer was married November 14, 1958 to the former Patricia Ann Britt, who survives.
Mr. Brewer was a former resident of the Moscow Community for over 20 years and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church at Rossville. He served for many years with Delta Airlines as a Reservation Agent before his retirement. He will be remembered for as a person who received enjoyment from fishing and reading. He was history buff who cherished time with his children and family.
In addition to his wife, survivors of Mr. Brewer include his daughters: Kris Brewer of Collierville and Thomasina Brewer Crouthamel of Towanda, Illinois; his son: Kirby Brewer of Collierville; his sisters: Irene Brewer of Bartlett and Jane Tribble of Memphis; his brother: Richard Brewer of Olive Branch, MS and his three grandchildren; Oliva Crouthamel, Matt Brewer and Carolyn Brewer.
