Ronald "Dog" Gene Glover

Ronald Gene “Dog” Glover, resident of the District 15 Community and a lifelong resident of Fayette County, departed this life Friday afternoon, April 18, 2014 at his father’s residence in the District 15 Community. He was 48 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Glover were conducted at 3 P.M. Monday, April 21st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Don Hammons and Bro. Kevin Treadway officiating. Interment followed in the Perry Cemetery near Laconia. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Glover was born May 27, 1965 in Somerville, the son of Floyd Lee Glover and the former Shirley Jean Cothern. He received his education in the Fayette County School System and at Fayette Academy. He was a self-employed truck driver for much of his life before retiring for health reasons.
Mr. Glover was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong resident of the Somerville and Fayette County areas. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, golfing, sports and playing billiards. He will be remembered as an avid NASCAR fan and Tennessee Titans football fan.
Mr. Glover is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jean Glover of Somerville, Cassi Lynn Glover of Memphis; his mother, Shirley Jean Glover (Gordon Spivey) of Holly Springs, MS, Floyd Glover (Sue) of Somerville; his brother, Dewayne Glover (K. Sue) of Somerville; his stepsister, Karla Olvera of Bolingbrook, IL; two stepbrothers, Robby Bergenheim of Somerville, Jim Kelley of Oakland; and his granddaughter, Alexas Johanna Joyner of Somerville.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Robby Bergenheim, Dewayne Glover, Andrew Heck, Brad Pulliam, Darrell Kelley, Mike Phillips and Jerry Glover.
Honorary casketbearers were Jim Kelley and Bradley Phillips.
