Rose Mary Stuart

Rose Mary Shaffer Stuart, resident of the Hickory Withe Community and wife of the late Merle John Stuart departed this life Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her residence. She was 75 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Services and interment for Mrs. Stuart will be private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Stuart was born July 21, 1937 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Shaffer and Margaret Pry Shaffer. She received her education in the Pennsylvania Public School System and was married January 31, 1959 to Merle John Stuart, who preceded her in death January 18, 1995. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bartlett and was a homemaker throughout her life. Mrs. Stuart had been a resident of Fayette County for the past 28 years.
Mrs. Stuart is survived by her daughter, Lisa Young (Eugene) of Hickory Withe; her brother, James B. Shaffer (Darla) of Reynoldsville, PA; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
