Roy Lynn Sandusky

Roy Lynn Sandusky, age 67, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and husband of Carolyn Sandusky, departed this life Saturday morning, June 22, 2024 at Collierville Health and Rehabilitation.

Roy was born April 11, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Gilbert Harley Sandusky and Ruth Maude Harvey Sandusky. He graduated from Fayette Ware High School in Somerville and was employed in the steel industry as a welder for 40 years. Roy was married July 24, 1999 to Carolyn Hunsucker Sandusky and was a member of Mercy’s Bridge Church near Somerville.

Mr. Sandusky is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carolyn Hunsucker Sandusky of Somerville, TN; his son, Terrance Watkins of Somerville, TN; his sister, Cynthia Ann Lavendar of Arlington, TN; two brothers, Harvey Sandusky of Arlington, TN and Andy Sandusky of Calico Rock, AR; his grandson, Tyler Watkins; and three great-grandchildren, Stella, Elody and Barrett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Makiya Lynn Sandusky.

A visitation for Mr. Sandusky will be from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mercy’s Bridge Church. Funeral Services will be at 3 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mercy’s Bridge Church with Bro. Gary Joyner officiating.

Those serving as honorary pallbearers will be Neil Gray, Nathan Sandusky, Drew Sandusky, Paul Jobe, Brad Rogers and Tyler Watkins.
