Ruby Marie (Helton) Bowman

Ruby Marie Helton Bowman, age 66, resident of Lexington, Tennessee and wife of the late Franklin D. Bowman, departed this life Monday morning, June 4, 2018 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Bowman were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Dave Biter of Oakland officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Bowman was born September 23, 1951 in Brownsville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Memphis Technical School and was employed as a clerk for Marshall’s. She was married November 14, 1987 to Franklin D. Bowman and she was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Bowman enjoyed baking, gardening and dancing. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, sister and friend.

Mrs. Bowman is survived by two sisters, Joann Watson of Flint, MI, Patsy Oliver (Harold) of Lexington, TN; and five brothers, C.H. Helton (Shelby) of Hornsby, TN, Jack Helton of Middleton, TN, Billy R. Helton (Martha) of Middleton, TN, James Helton of Jackson, TN and Tommy Helton of Memphis, TN.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Daughtery, Frances Lyles; and her brother, Bobby Helton.
