Ruth Lawson, 86, longtime Oakland Community resident and widow of Mack Edward Lawson died September 2, 2010. Services: 2 PM Saturday at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment: Oakland Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 PM Saturday at Peebles. A Christian and active in her community for many years, Mrs. Lawson leaves 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
