Samuel Frank “Sammy” Taylor, age 90, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and husband of the late Ruby Taylor, departed this life Thursday evening, May 16, 2024 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.
Sammy was born August 14, 1933 in Ashland, Mississippi, the son of the late Sam P. Taylor and Mollie Simpson Taylor. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was employed as a dispatcher for Troxel Manufacturing in Moscow for many years before his retirement. Sammy was a true outdoorsman who loved NASCAR and NHRA, hunting, fishing and going to his cabin in Midway, Arkansas. He loved going to church and reading his Bible every day. Sammy will be remembered for being a great father and grandfather.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Brenda Randall; his son, Jeff Taylor (Debbie); and five grandchildren, Mandy, Brandy, Neil, Victor and Eli. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joe Paul Taylor; his son-in-law, Marvin Randall; his sister, Retha Massingill; three brothers, Ruben Hugh Taylor, Lee Taylor and Bill Taylor; his grandson, Greg Howard; and his great-grandson, Ryder Taylor.
Graveside Services for Mr. Taylor were held at 3 P.M. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Friendship Cemetery in Moscow. The officiating minister was Bro. Toby Stone and personal remarks were given by his son, Jeff Taylor.
