Samuel Taylor Rike

Samuel Taylor Rike, the precious four-month-old son of Amanda Rike of Bartlett, Tennessee died suddenly on Monday afternoon, November 20, 2017.

Funeral Services for Samuel were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Glenn Miller, a family friend, officiating. A Private Family Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Samuel was born July 15, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a healthy, active and adored baby that brought extreme joy to his mother, Amanda. His little smiles, giggles and baby jabber would melt your heart. His favorite toy was “Mark the Monkey” and he was loved by all.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Amanda Rike of Bartlett, Tennessee, his Mimi (Debbie Rike) of Arlington, Tennessee, his Papa Joe (Joe Rike) and his Nona (Donna Rike) of Arlington, Tennessee. He leaves a huge extended family in Fayette County, the Flint, Michigan area and in Texas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Colt Mitchell, Jack Rike, Elliot Rike and Maylon Price. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Mac Rike and Jimmy Wiles.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to the American SIDS Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, Florida 34110 in honor of Sam .
