Sandra Faye (Paul) Rainey

Sandra Faye Paul Rainey, age 52, resident of Oakland and wife of Donald Allen Rainey, departed this life Monday morning, August 29, 2016 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Rainey were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Rainey was born March 3, 1964 in Memphis. She received her education at Ripley High School in Ripley, Mississippi and was married March 9, 2000 to Donald Allen Rainey. She was a lifelong resident of North Mississippi and West Tennessee. She took great pride in her work as a machinist for many years as well as a homemaker throughout her life. Mrs. Rainey received much pleasure in organizing family functions and her family states she was the “glue that kept them together”. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Rainey is survived by her husband of 16 years, Donald Allen Rainey of Oakland; her daughter, Angel R. Vanstory (Travis) of Ashland, MS; three sons, Justin B. Cissom (Angela) of Memphis, Phillip B. Cissom of Memphis, Jacob A. Rainey of Ashland, MS; her mother, Maria T. Settlemires (Paul) of Ripley, MS; two sisters, Julie Clardy (Bill) of Stanton, TN, Peggy Johnson (Tommy) of Oakland; her brother, Steven Paul (Christy) of New Albany, MS; and five grandchildren, Holden Vanstory, Cadence Vanstory, Mason Vanstory, Emma Cissom and Bradley Cissom.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howell Kline Paul.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Jeffery Carter, Johnathon Cissom, Allen Towery, Collin Paul, Joshua Paul, Roger Holloway, Jason Clardy, Matt Thorp and Joe Whitten.
