Sandra Jean (Seago) Slaton

Sandra Jean Seago Slaton, age 70, resident of Oakland and wife of the late John W. Slaton, departed this life Monday morning, August 22, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Services and Interment for Mrs. Slaton were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Slaton was born January 12, 1946 in Monroe, Louisiana. She moved with her family at an early age to Memphis and she attended Overton High School. Mrs. Slaton was a former resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas before moving to Oakland. She was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed going to the movies, listening to music and her pet dog.
Mrs. Slaton was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Slaton who died in 2008; her parents, Herman V. Seago and Eunice Elizabeth Hardey Seago; her son, James Edward “Jimmy” Jacobson, Jr.
