Sandra Jean (Stanley) Wilferd

Sandra Jean Stanley Wilferd, age 60, resident of Memphis and wife of Terry Wilferd, departed this life Friday afternoon, July 6, 2018 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilferd were conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Wilferd was born December 28, 1957 in Ripley, Tennessee. She moved with her family at an early age to Fayette County and received her education at Fayette-Ware High School in Somerville. She was employed as a meat clerk for many years. Mrs. Wilferd loved her family members and friends and had a fondness for animals. She rescued many cats and dogs throughout her life.

Mrs. Wilferd is survived by her husband who she married in January 2004, Terry Wilferd of Memphis, TN; her daughter, Amber Wilferd of Memphis, TN; two sons, Jonathan Foster of Memphis, TN, T.J. Wilferd (Jennifer) of Bartlett, TN; her sister, Sherry Rowe of Memphis, TN; her brother, John Stanley (Jennifer) of San Diego, CA; and five grandchildren, Lana Wilferd, Kalyn Wilferd, Talia Wilferd, Aaliyah Wilferd and Emma Foster.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dave Stanley; her mother, Wilda Jean Fergerson Wilson; two sons, Michael Garrett, Christopher Stanley; and her sister, Cathy Goodman.
