Sandra Denise "Sandy" Davis Savely, age 50, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Ricky Lynn Savely, departed this life Saturday morning, October 18, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Savely were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 21st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Rick Sayger, minister of Colonial Hills Church in Southaven, Mississippi, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Savely was born October 22, 1963 in Huntsville, Alabama, the daughter of Virginia Lucile Wooley Davis and the late Roy Franklin Davis. She moved with her family at an early age to the Memphis area and was a graduate of Whitehaven High School Class of 1981. She was married April 1, 1989 to Ricky Lynn Savely, who survives.
Mrs. Savely was employed with the Kroger Grocery Store in Oakland for ten years. She was of the Christian faith and was a resident of the Somerville Community since 1987. She enjoyed outdoor activities that included gardening, flowers, going to the beach and outings with her family. Collecting antiques was a favorite pastime.
In addition to her husband of 25 years, Mrs. Savely is survived by her daughter, Rachel Sherman of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Brandon Timothy Savely of Memphis, Alex Jacob Savely of Memphis; her mother, Virginia Wooley Davis of Somerville; her sister, Vickie Ann Thomasson of Hernando, MS; and her brother, Del Roy Davis of Somerville.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Clinton Perry, David Shirley, Gerald Ramer, Chris Kelly, Christopher Kelly and Trevor Blair.
