Sandy Jean (Glines) Wright

August 27, 1955 — April 29, 2012

Sandra Jean Glines Wright, resident of Cordova with family members in the Eads Community, retired Medicare Billing Supervisor and wife of Charles A. Wright died Sunday evening, April 29, 2012 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis where she had been a patient for three days. She was 56 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Wright were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 2nd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Claudia Forrest, Methodist Hospice Chaplain of Memphis officiating. Interment followed in the Eads Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — West Chapel of Oakland.

Mrs. Wright was born August 27, 1955 in Lynwood, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud Glines and Charlene Browning Glines. She moved at an early age with her family to West Tennessee and received her education in the Shelby County School System and at the Concord Business School in Memphis.

She was married March 5, 1979 to Charles A. Wright, a native of the Eads Community and a building contractor in West Tennessee, who survives. Mrs. Wright was employed as a Medicare Billing Supervisor for the Methodist Alliance Systems in Memphis for a number of years before retiring three years ago for health reasons. She was of the Baptist faith and had been a resident of Cordova for 12 years.

She was a family-oriented person who enjoyed reading, music and dancing as long as health permitted. She will be remembered as an animal lover and as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wright is survived by two daughters, Candy Palugi (Mike, Jr.) of Cordova, Amber Wright of Cordova; her son, Dallas Wright of Cordova; her sister Tammy Lumpkin (Shane) of Atoka; and two grandchildren, Cristen Palugi and Alston Palugi.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Matthew Murphy, Dean Smith, Bill McCulley, Alex Wright, Michael Lawrence, Clay Biggs and Robert Wright.
