Sarah Ann Cooper Campbell, age 92, resident of Collierville, Tennessee and wife of the late Robert W. Campbell, departed this life Saturday evening, January 4, 2025 at Hearthside Senior Living in Collierville.
Ann was born August 11, 1932 in Rutherford, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Andrew Burr Cooper and Effie Mae Southard Cooper. She was a seamstress and homemaker who enjoyed being with her family. She loved clothes and jewelry and was known to many as “Little Barbie” because she loved dressing up.
Ann was a pastor’s wife who was very involved in all of her husband’s pastored churches and the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union). She was loved by every church that her husband pastored and was referred to by her doctors and nurses as “the sweetest”!
Mrs. Campbell is survived by three daughters, Kathy Stancil (Dan), Jane Crenshaw (Ken) and Melanie Kendall (Doug); her sister, Pat Baker (Bill); her brother, Doug Cooper; nine grandchildren, Brian Stancil (Lindsey), Mike Stancil (Jacqueline), Heather Vann, Rachel Carpenter (Eric), Eric Kendall (Rachel), Caleb Kendall, Luke Kendall (Kerry), Micah Kendall and Bekah Peterson (Gregg); and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Campbell were held at 11 A.M. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Collierville First Baptist Church with Bro. Chuck Herring officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Brian Stancil, Mike Stancil, Eric Kendall, Caleb Kendall, Luke Kendall and Micah Kendall.
