Sarah Ruth (James) Brazier

Sarah Ruth James Brazier, age 63, resident of Somerville and wife of Jerry Lee Brazier, departed this life Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Brazier were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Craig McGee officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Brazier was born August 23, 1953 in Corinth, Mississippi. She received her education in the Alcorn County, Mississippi Public School System and was married January 6, 1970 to Jerry Lee Brazier. She was a member of the Victory Life Assembly of God where she was involved in many church activities. Mrs. Brazier enjoyed singing and special times with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Brazier is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Brazier of Somerville, TN; her son, Michael Shane Brazier (Kelli) of Collierville, TN; three sisters, Victoria Ann Logsdon of Arlington, TN, Linda Bomprezzi of Arlington, TN, Annis Houston of Cordova, TN; two brothers, Ray James of Dallas, TX, David James (Carolyn) of Austin, TX; one brother-in-law, Don Crick of Nashville, TN; and two grandchildren, Preslie Brazier and Wilson Brazier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murry Edgar James and Frances Irene Gibson James; two sisters, Sandra Crick and Tammie Evans; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Logsdon and Joe Bomprezzi.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Matt Coburn, Bo Hunt, Billy James, Stephen Logsdon, Joseph Potter and Mickey Warren.
