Sarah Alline Warf Fish, age 76, resident of Whiteville and wife of Lennard E. Fish, departed this life Thursday morning, June 22, 2017 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Fish were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Whiteville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Fish was born January 26, 1941 in Brownsville, Tennessee. She received her education in the Hardeman County Public School System and was married January 29, 1957 to Lennard E. Fish. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Fish enjoyed special times with her children and grandchildren and working with flowers.
Mrs. Fish is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lennard E. Fish of Whiteville, TN; her son, Larry Eugene Fish of Whiteville, TN; her sister, Mary Alice Robbins of Byhalia, MS; two brothers, Jerry Lee Warf of Chester County, TN, James Albert Warf of Fayette County, TN; seven grandchildren, Toni Michelle Haase, Brandi Louise Haase, Casey Jolene Tutor, Kelsey LeAnne Fish, Caleb Fish, Jason Douglas Fish, Julie Ann Edwards; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Warf and Mattie Louise Hendrix Warf; her daughter, Debbie Louise Fish Haase; and two sons, Ricky Elwood Fish and Lawrence Edward Fish.
Pallbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
