Scott Alan Lane

Scott Alan Lane, age 50, resident of the Eads Community and husband of Cheri L. Lane, departed this life Sunday morning, December 14, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Germantown.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Lane was conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, December 20th at the Faith United Methodist Church in Oakland. Interment was private Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Lane was born May 16, 1964 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was employed as a chemist for AOC Resins in Collierville before retiring for health reasons. He was the husband of Cheri Pavina Lane, who survives. Mr. Lane was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Oakland and enjoyed traveling, soccer and special times with his daughter.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lane is survived by his daughter, Trinity Lane of Eads; his biological parents, Martin Zola of Laguna Beach, California, Carolyn Zola of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Maureen Hammer (Bill) of Indiana, Christine Wolfe (Ed) of Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Philip Lane (Sydney) of Oakland and Ted Zola (Barbara) of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Lane and Beverly Eardley Lane.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
