Scott Cory Waggener

Scott Cory Waggener, age 59, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of Tracy Lynn Waggener, departed this life Tuesday morning, February 27, 2024 at his home.

Scott was born March 14, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Don Waggener and the late Shirley Smith Waggener. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1981 and was married January 2, 2013 to Tracy Lynn Waggener. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting knives, collecting baseball caps and carpentry.

Mr. Waggener is survived by his wife, Tracy Lynn Waggener; his daughter, Brittany Lynn Binford (Daniel) of Coldwater, MS; three sons, Cory Nicholas Waggener of Chicago, IL, Bradley James Beam (Lis) of Eads, TN and James Dylan McClinton of Bartlett, TN; his father, Don Waggener (Patty) of Martin, TN; his brother-in-law, David Maxey (Wendi) of Coldwater, MS; and six grandchildren, Cheyenne Binford, Laken Binford, Clayton Binford, McKinlee Beam, Luke Beam and Harrison Beam.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna McNatt.

Memorial Services for Mr. Waggener were held at 1 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel with Pastor James Weir, minister of Pleasants Christian Church in Rossville, officiating. Personal remarks were given by David Maxey.
