Sherman Benjamin (Ben Ben) Adair, IV, 11, Williston Community resident, 6 th grade student at Fayette Academy and son of Sherman & Kerry Adair died August 13, 2011 at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. Services Celebrating the Life of Benjamin were at 4 PM Wednesday at Fayette Academy in Somerville with interment in the Forty-five Cemetery at Moscow.

Benjamin was a faithful member and active in the Royal Ambassador Program at First Baptist Church Somerville. He was an avid baseball player and fan, having played for the Bolivar Dixie Youth Lion’s Club for 6 years, having participated in the state playoffs for 3 years in a row, played football and basketball for the Fayette Academy teams, loved fishing, shooting his bow & arrow, deer  hunting, coon hunting on horseback with his grandfather, "Papa" and riding his four-wheeler. Benjamin was known for “looking good” and enjoyed special times with his family.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his sister, Alyssa Faith Adair and his brother, Levi Isaac Adair, both of the home; his maternal grandparents, Kathy and Travis Morgan of the Williston Community, Charlie and Libby Shepard of Munford; his paternal grandparents, Sandra and Billy Adair of Moscow; and his great grandparents, J.T. and Tean Tacker of Moscow.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Steve Crafton, Jack Douglass, Shane Hayden, Jeff Jenkins, Chris Pulliam, Craig Massey, Scotty Sipes and Tommy Skelton. Serving as honorary casketbearers were Steven Brooks, Justin Bryant, Chris Burgess, Michael Carroll, Chris Kranford, Dylan Hill, Matt Howell, Mikey McMahan, Bill Rhea, Philip Roberts, Jimmy Sain, Randy Sanders, Greg Tapp, Brad Tucker and Tommy Breeden.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Sherman Benjamin Adair Fund c/o Bank of Fayette County, 15995 Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
