Sherry Ruth Wayne-Leggett unexpectedly passed away at her home in Williston, Tennessee on January 10, 2025.
Sherry was born August 2, 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was beloved by her significant other, Jay Hollis Leggett, for 23 years. She was a loving mother to her two daughters, Jennifer Hicks and Kimberly Fell. She was a very caring grandmother to her five grandchildren, Oliver Slade Miller, Leelyn Grace Hicks, Lillian Annette Hicks, Evelyn Leanna Patrick and Sonny Morgan Fell. Sherry was a wonderful daughter to her mother, Gloria Jean Tutor; a sister to Jerry Louis Wayne; and a terrific aunt to Ethan Lewis Wayne. She was a special friend to Katie Miller and they were like sisters. She was a great friend to countless others, which she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Wayne.
Sherry graduated from Horn Lake High School in 1990. Sherry for the most part lived a very simple life, making her house a home for both her and Jay. She loved Alabama football, going camping for long weekends, relaxing on her porch and caring for her cat “Kiki”. She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. She was both loving and caring to everyone she met. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be missed dearly.
Please join us to celebrate Sherry’s life and all the wonderful memories she leaves behind. A visitation will be from 1 until 2 P.M.
