Shirley Jean "Penny" (Case) Davis

Shirley Jean “Penny” Case Davis, age 71, resident of Mason, departed this life Sunday morning, November 22, 2015 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett following a brief illness.

Services of Remembrance for Ms. Davis were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Personal remarks were given by Ms. Davis family and friends. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Ms. Davis was born February 28, 1944 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Case and Elaine Shirley Bruce Case. She was a graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis and a lifelong resident of Shelby and Fayette counties. Ms. Davis was employed as a quality control inspector for Vollrath in Gallaway for 29 years before her retirement. She enjoyed outdoor activities that included fishing and camping. Special times with her family and friends was an important part of her life.

Ms. Davis is survived by two sons, Joe Haddakin (Brenda) of Gallaway, John Morgan Haddakin of Holladay, TN; three grandchildren, John Morgan Haddakin, Jr., Jessica Mary Brooke, Brigette Ragland; her great grandson, John Morgan Haddakin, III; and her special friend, Ceroice Morris (Chris) of Mason.
