SRA Taylor Makalous Kemp, age 21, resident of the Hickory Withe Community, United States Air Force Senior Airman and son of Nancy Wallace Kemp and the late Dr. Timothy Lee "Tim" Kemp, departed this life Saturday evening, September 20, 2014.
Services of Remembrance for Taylor were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Bro. Keith Blessing and Bro. Mike Collins, both of the New Life Church in Hickory Withe. Interment with Full Military Honors followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Taylor was born April 8, 1993 in Memphis, the son of Nancy Sue Wallace Kemp and the late Dr. Timothy Lee "Tim" Kemp. He served for over two years in the United States Air Force, most recently as a Senior Airman and was a member of the First Evangelical Church in Memphis. Taylor enjoyed hunting, skydiving, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes.
Taylor is survived by his mother, Nancy Wallace Kemp of Hickory Withe; two sisters, Laura Kemp Love (Brett) of Dali, China, Bethany Anne Kemp of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his grandparents, Dean Williams Kemp of Hillsboro, Texas and Frank and Mozelle Adams Wallace of San Antonio, Texas; and his girlfriend, Andrea Edwards of Cordova.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Tim Kemp and his grandfather, Elmo Kemp.
