Stephen Sandsbury Miller, 75, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, died Monday, October 23, 2017, on his 39th wedding anniversary. He was born February 22, 1942 in Clarendon, Arkansas, son of the late Jack Sandsbury Miller and Mary Lavennia Ward Miller.
Steve was a loving husband and father to his wife, Beverley, his son, Sam, of Olive Branch, Mississippi and his daughter, Anna Marie Miller of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Steve will be missed by his brother, Brett Miller, his nephew, Jason Kalkbrenner, great nephew, Logan Kalkbrenner, brother-in-law, Freddy Kalkbrenner, all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his best friend of over 40 years, Pat Neeley of Germantown, Tennessee, his grandchildren, Tori Bezley, Christian & Charlie Meyer, their mother, Cassy Meyer, and great-grandchildren, Landon Grau & Xavier Meyer of West Memphis, Arkansas, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Bootsie Miller and family of Indianola, Mississippi, along with many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Kalkbrenner.
Steve was a U.S. Army veteran, retired salesman, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved beagles.
The family held a memorial celebration in his honor on November 11, 2017 at Uncle Jimmy's cabin in Holly Grove, Arkansas from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M. He received a Military Gun Salute at 1 P.M. as well as a day full of stories reflecting the good times. As we say goodbye to Steve, his finale request would be to watch backing out of the driveway.
