Susan Michelle Freels

Susan Michelle Freels, age 47, resident of Somerville, departed this life Monday afternoon, May 1, 2017.

Services of Remembrance for Ms. Freels were conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Hillville Community of Haywood County. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Ms. Freels was born May 9, 1969 in Brownsville, Tennessee. She received her education at Fayette Ware High School in Somerville and was of the Baptist faith. She was employed at the Fayette Falcon newspaper in Somerville as a graphic artist. Ms. Freels enjoyed taking pictures, arts and crafts, gardening, drinking Dr. Pepper and special times with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for being a great listener and for making people laugh.

Ms. Freels is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Hawkins (Corey) of Somerville, TN; two sons, Shane Warf (fiancée, Samantha) of Murfreesboro, TN, Ryan Logan (fiancée, Kayla) of Somerville, TN; her mother, Katie Freels of Somerville, TN; her sister, Angela Freels (fiancé, Chris) of Millington, TN; her brother, Mark Freels (Amy) of Walnut, MS; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Hawkins, Aubrie Hawkins, Baylee Hawkins, Harper Grace Warf, Mason Logan; three nieces, Chelsea Freels, Skylar Pepper, Carrie Evans (Cliff); her nephew, Mark Freels, Jr.; three great-nieces, Aleah Freels, Anna Freels, Lyndon Freels; and three great-nephews, Bryson Evans, Kelynn Evans and J.W. Freels.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Shane Warf, Corey Hawkins, Ryan Logan, Cliff Evans, Joey Benard and James Kirkland. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Scates, Jacob German, Jordan Benard and Cody Craft.
