Georgia Sue “Susie” Harkins Langston, resident of the Williston Community and wife of James Carroll Langston died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her residence. Susie was surrounded by her family and friends at her home when she went to be with the Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 56 years of age and was a fourteen year employee of Fed Ex.
Services of Remembrance for Susie were conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 19 th in the Chapel of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova. Interment was private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
A Christian, Susie was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Mid-South Quarter Horse Association. She was an avid lover of animals especially horses, dogs and cats. Susie was a great friend and was loved by everyone. She was a truly beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. Susie will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband of 22 years, Susie is survived by her sons: Wesley Hannah and Brad Hannah (Heather); mother: Nancy Pavone (John); step-daughters: Michelle Langston and Stacy Blackwell (Dwayne); her precious granddaughters: Hayle Hannah and Kensley Blackwell; her brothers: Brad Harkins, Gene Harkins (Dorris) and Landon Clay (Sonya).  Susie was preceded in death by her son: Chris Hannah; her father: George Harkins and her brother: David Harkins.
