Sylvia Charlene Hurdle

Sylvia Charlene Hurdle, age 72, resident of Rossville, departed this life Tuesday evening, September 13, 2016 at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville.
Services of Remembrance for Ms. Hurdle were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Billy Adair officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Ms. Hurdle was born June 17, 1944 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ennis Jefferson Hurdle, Sr. and Johnnie Kate Williamson Hurdle. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School and Memphis State. Ms. Hurdle was a former resident of Macclenny, Florida before coming back to Fayette County in 1975. She was employed as a teacher in the Fayette County School System at Southwest and other schools in the county before her retirement. She was an accomplished pianist who loved music and performing at shows and enjoyed traveling and her pet cats.
Ms. Hurdle is survived by her brother, Ennis J. Hurdle, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Collierville and two nephews, Jefferson Logan Hurdle (April) of Rossville and John Harvey Hurdle (Laine) of Moscow.
